The eDAQ is a layered system consisting of a base processor that can support up to 8 signal conditioning layers. The layer options are defined below and the signals can include CAN, bridge, temperature, pulse, voltage and more.
The eDAQXR is the next generation processor for the eDAQ, and supports the same signal conditioning layers below. Ultimately we will also support new layers that are in development. With the eDAQXR you also have the ability to use the expansion modules, creating a powerful centralized data acquisition system that can also have distributed modules. Additionally we have added new features: robust file format, smart power management, and electronics with a conformal coating.

Processor Options
Somat eDAQXR EXRCPU
The EXRCPU is the processor for the stand-alone mobile data acquisition system, and is considered the workhorse for the eDAQXR platform. Data from various inputs are stored onboard and can be downloaded after the test is completed. Tests may include minutes or even days of data while running long term vehicle tests. The system can either be disconnected from the PC while the test is running, remain connected via an Ethernet cable, or via WiFi to monitor channels in real-time. The powerful onboard processor can perform real-time calculations and provide powerful real-time displays of channels like strip charts, digital, FFT, XY, and much more. The system can even send text messages or emails if a fault condition is encountered.
The eDAQXR can be configured as a centralized system combining legacy eDAQ layers as well as future eDAQXR layers, and can also support a distributed architecture when incorporating HBM SomatXR modules. The setup software resides on the processor, so setup can be easily done using a web browser such as Chrome.

Somat eDAQ Base Processor (ECPU-PLUS)
The ECPU-PLUS is the processor for the eDAQ stand-alone mobile data acquisition system. Onboard memory stores the data until test is completed which is downloadable to a PC for analysis. Tests may include minutes of data, or even days of data while running long term vehicle tests. The system can either be disconnected from the PC while the test is running, remain connected via an Ethernet cable, or via WiFi to monitor tests in real-time.
The eDAQ system utilizes the proven TCE Windows software, which comes free of charge.
