X280 Cold-Curing Two Component Adhesive

X280 Cold-Curing Two Component Adhesive

X280: Cold Curing Adhesive – Ideal for Higher Temperature Ranges

Epoxy resin-based X280 adhesive is a good choice for strain gauge installation in experimental tests, especially if measurements must be taken at higher ambient temperatures, and a hot curing adhesive cannot be used for whatever reason. For example, the reason could be that a certain component is simply too large to fit in the oven for the heat curing required with hot curing adhesives.

X280 adhesive gives great results when used on both porous and smooth surfaces. The adhesive, consisting of two components, is also very easy to use. The components are packed in double bags, so no weighing is necessary.

  • Hot curing adhesive: 1 hour at 95°C/203°F, 2 hours at 65°C/149°F, 8 hours at 20°C/68°F, load of 0.05…2 N/mm²
  • 1-X280: 6 x 10 g in double bags
Enough for around 100 strain gauges*. Already includes the required strain gauge installation accessories: stirring containers, fluoropolymer release film, pressure cushions, mixing spatula, heat resistant adhesive tape, instruction manual, safety data sheet.

*The specified quantities are approximate recommended values only, as adhesive consumption also partly depends on the size of the strain gauges being used.
