PME – The Industrial Measurement Signal Conditioners Linked to a Fieldbus

The intelligent PME measurement system is ideal for use in decentralized measurement applications within the industry, such as production processes with large machinery as well as for functional and power test stands. Additionally, it is also suited for areas with potentially explosive atmospheres. Its stand-alone amplifier modules record relevant measured quantities, such as force, pressure, temperature, rotational speed, and torque for internal digital processing. A free software assistant and standard fieldbus interfaces such as CAN and PROFIBUS DP allow for fast integration of the modules.

• Measurement channels: from 1 to 8

MP01 – Multichannel measurement amplifier

DC amplifier; 4 channels for voltage, current, and thermocouples or 2 channels for PT100 and resistors; Subcon5 connector; 0.1 accuracy class

MP30 – Single channel measurement amplifier

600 Hz carrier frequency amplifier for strain gage transducers; 0.05-20 Hz filter; autocalibration; 0.03 accuracy class

MP30DP – Single channel measurement amplifier

600 Hz carrier frequency amplifier with the same characteristics as MP30 (see above) but with an additional PROFIBUS DP interface

Note: In combination with SD01A Zener barriers, sensors can also be operated as intrinsically safe devices in potentially explosive atmospheres, measurement circuit type[S.B.1] (Ex II (1) GD, [EEx ia]IIC).

MP55 – Single channel measurement amplifier

4.8 kHz carrier frequency amplifier for strain gage and inductive transducers in full and half bridge circuit; 0.05-500 Hz filter; 0.1 accuracy class

MP55DP – Single channel signal conditioner

4.8 kHz carrier frequency amplifier with the same characteristics as MP55 (see above), and with an additional PROFIBUS DP interface

MP55IBS – Single channel signal conditioner

4.8 kHz carrier frequency amplifier with the same characteristics as MP55 (see above), and with additional Interbus S interface

MP70DP S7 – Profibus interface

Gateway from CANopen to Profibus DP; up to 8 PME channels can be connected via CAN; enables gateway functions and mathematical functions to be realized.
