OL-W – Weldable Optical Strain Gauge for use in harsh environments
Some environments are not suitable for bonding strain gauges, e.g. because of very low temperatures or excessive dust formation, e.g. on construction sites. The OL-W weldable optical strain gauge can be flexibly welded and was specially developed for these applications.
OL-W can easily be integrated into the optical measuring chain via plug or splice connections and provides technical advantages similar to those offered by the OL optical strain gauge.
Easy installation thanks to spot welding method
The OL-W weldable optical strain gauge is installed using a simple spot welding process that requires hardly any preparation. Only a little practice is needed for the user.
