MPS series Draw Wire Potentiometers are widely used in positioning, dam protections, sluice gate control, screw machines, paper machines, sewing machines, sheet metal machines, printing machines, horizontal control equipment, construction machines, industrial robot, injection machines, woodworker machines, elevators, hydraulic machines, X-Y axis displacement, liquid level measurements and position control.
Sensor Ranges:
- XXXS: 100-200mm
- XXS: 100-800mm
- XS: 100-1000mm
- S: 100-1000mm
- M: 1100-4000mm
- L: 4500-8000mm
- XL: 9000-10000mm
Output options:
- R: 0-5KΩ Resistance
- V1: 0-5V
- V2: 0-10V
- A1: 4-20mA with 3 wires
- A2: 4-20mA with 2 wires
- P: incremental pulse phase output AB phase or ABZ phase

- Repeatability: +/- 0.05%

Application Notes:
- Potentiometer should be installed vertically. If the application requires non-straight line motion, add a pulley to your design.
- Wire alignment angle should not be more than to 3 degrees off to ensure measurement accuracy and life of wire rope.
- Keep your wire clean! Too much dirt and contamination can destroy the wire rope or prevent the mechanical assembly from operating correctly
- With all string potentiometers – do not pull out and release, as this risks damaging the sensor !
- For MPS ranges up to 4000mm, the maximum wire velocity is 1 meter/second
- For MPS ranges from 4500mm to 100000mm, the maximum wire velocity is 0.5 meter/second
