The AED basic devices come with various interfaces providing the right connection for the AD103C amplifier board. The AD103C electronics turns your analog load cells into digital all-rounders. AD103C – Turn Your Analog Load Cells Into Digital All-rounders
The AD103C digital transducer electronics makes your process control and monitoring tasks easy and convenient. AD103C digitizes the signals from analog load cells and transducers without the need to make any new investments. Since AED enables you to benefit from the speed and precision provided by digital weighing technology even with existing systems.
Easy, direct, and powerful: Start up the AD103C transducer electronics in the twinkling of an eye. The whole electronics can be set up directly through the PC. The bus interfaces of the appropriate AED basic devices minimize installation work.
AD103C is a DC amplifier board for resistive transducers. AD103C is equally fit for dynamic and static applications as checkweighers, multi-station combination weighers, sorting plants, dynamic postal scales, and filling plants. The RS-232 interface ensures direct connection to the PC.
Our basic devices of the AED series include the AD103C board. Profit from the AED basic devices’ increased reliability resulting from enhanced EMC and IP65 protection. Furthermore, the AED devices offer the additional interfaces RS-232, RS-485, Profibus, CANOpen and DeviceNet.

AD104C – The multi-functional amplifier board for dynamic weighing applications
The AD104C amplifier board can be used together with analog load cells and transducers as digital all-rounder. Equipped with four trigger functions and two limit value switches with hysteresis, the AD104C amplifier provide an alternative way of adapting existing solutions to the HBM digital concept (FIT® and AED).
With an adjustable output rate of up to 200 measured values per second, the handling, filter modes, analysis and setting options are also suitable for simple dosing and filling machines.
The AD104C is available with RS-232 and RS-485 4-wire interfaces. The AD105C offers RS-485 2-wire communication as an alternative.

The AD105C amplifier board can be used together with analog load cells and transducers as digital all-rounder. Equipped with four trigger functions and two limit value switches with hysteresis, the AD105C amplifier provide an alternative way of adapting existing solutions to the HBM digital concept (FIT® and AED).
With an adjustable output rate of up to 200 measured values per second, the handling, filter modes, analysis and setting options are also suitable for simple dosing and filling machines.

DIS2116 – Easy to use and secure: DIS2116 for reliably determining weight on vehicle scales as well as railroad track scales
DIS2116 is the digital weighing system that enables your truck scales to comply with the latest requirements regarding security and efficiency.
Because DIS2116 features far exceed the functions of a purely digital display – they also enable all relevant characteristics (e.g. scale configuration, off-center load compensation, legal-for-trade modes, measurement signal filters) to be easily configured, at the same time providing maximum data security.
Easy operation of the weighing system is a must, especially when used on vehicle scales, truck scales and railroad track scales with many loading operations every day. Thanks to its intuitive control DIS2116 allows you to change all relevant settings very quickly. You benefit in particular from the time-saving, electronic off-center load compensation that is performed easily and very precisely at high reproducibility.
In addition, DIS2116 complies with the highest data security standards. Latest EC directives require manipulation-proof data transmission. In its legal-for-trade mode, the DIS2116 digital weighing system guarantees secure, encrypted data transmission.
The DIS2116 interfaces open up virtually all connection opportunities for integration of the scale electronics into other systems. An Anybus port for connection to Ethernet or other bus systems is available as an option.
Combined with the C16i load cell the DIS2116 operates as a purely digital measuring chain. You benefit from all advantages of secure, digital signal processing – for example, signal quality, tested EMC and dynamics without data loss. One DIS2116 allows configuration of vehicle scales with up to three segments, each with maximal eight load cells. The VKD2R-8 digital junction box is used for connecting the load cells in parallel.

DWS2103 scale display – Product preview: Digital technology opens up completely new opportunities
The DWS2103 is a digital scale display for communication with legal-for-trade load cells and electronics. Combined with the AED digital transducer family or FIT® digital load cells it enables legal-for-trade, automatic weighing instruments (AWI) to be implemented, for example, automatic catch weighers, automatic checkweighers, and automatic gravimetric filling instruments.
Manipulation impossible
The DWS2103 meets the maximum requirements in terms of security. The latest MID EC directive (Measuring Instruments Directive requires data transmission that excludes manipulation. In legal-for-trade mode, the DWS2103 digital scale display guarantees secure, encrypted transmission of measurement data. Consequently, legal-for-trade capability is fully guaranteed at any time.
Benefits of digital signal transmission
Purely digital signal transmission opens up opportunities for new concepts. These include WLAN data transmission or voltage supply by self-contained systems, for example solar, fuel cells or rechargeable batteries. Wireless transmission offers more advantages, such as galvanic isolation. In addition, the DWS2103 needs not be installed in close proximity to the actual weighing instrument; multiple scales can be operated simultaneously using a single display. Moreover, digital technology enables asset management of weighing applications to be implemented, because information about the sensor can be read out.
Fully digital measuring chain
Combined with FIT® load cells or the AED digital transducers, HBM is the only manufacturer worldwide to offer a digital solution ranging from components to complete solutions, i.e. the complete, purely digital measuring chain.
Also for use with analog systems
Incidentally: You need not replace all analog load cells, if you want to use the DWS2103. Digitize the signals of analog load cells using the AED product family. This enables you to continue using your systems and, at the same time, benefit from digital precision.

RM4220 – RM4220 – Amplifier for strain gage transducers with 4 … 20 mA output signal
HBM’s RM4220 is a strain gage amplifier. Because it simply snaps on to standardized support rails, the RM 4220 amplifier is easy to install. A service-friendly snap-in terminal block is used to make the electrical connection. Individual strain gage transducers as well as several strain gages connected in parallel (>80 Ohms) can be connected to the measuring amplifier.
This amplifier offers a very simple and practical calibration of the zero point and the final value by using DIP– switches and potentiometer. The excitation voltage is selectable with 5 or 10 V. The output signal is 0/10 V or +/- 10V and 4/20 mA.
The connection of the transducer is either possible in 4– or 6–wire technique. If you use the 6–wire technique, you can neglect the effects on resistance variation of the extension wire. The housing made of polyamide PA type PHOENIX EM can be hooked up with every DIN EN support rail (EN 50022 standard).

SC232/422B – SC232/422B – Interface converter set
The SC232/422B interface converter set enables multi-channel bus systems to be set up easily via the RS232 standard interface integrated in standard PCs. A 4-wire RS422/485 bus system can be built up.
This converter differs from standard converters especially in terms of its robust design in a metal housing, its excellent EMC and the electrically isolated signals. The set is supplied complete with a standard PC connecting cable (9-pin) and a plug-in power supply. An LED signals readiness for operation.
For setting up multi-channel bus systems, we recommend to use HBM’s AED…, WE2110 and WE2108-485 weighing electronics and the digital load cells provided by HBM which include an RS485 4-wire interface.

WE2108 – Legal for trade scale electronic WE2108 – precision in designer outfit
