BZ-5602, BZ-5603, BZ-5743 And BZ-5744 Automated Test Procedures For Electroacoustic Devices

BZ-5602, BZ-5603, BZ-5743 And BZ-5744 Automated Test Procedures For Electroacoustic Devices

These PULSE software packages each provide an automated test procedure for evaluating a specific type of electroacoustic product or component. Four individual product test procedures are available, which all build on the general-purpose testing capabilities of PULSE Basic Electroacoustics Type 7797.

USE SCENARIOS

  • Audio engineers researching, measuring and documenting acoustical designs during development, pre-qualification and manufacturing
  • Benchmarking the acoustical performance of electroacoustic transducers such as speakers and headphones
  • Evaluating acoustical accuracy of hydrophones, hearing aids, headsets, telephones, microphones and loudspeakers
  • Quality assurance sample testing of electroacoustic transducers during production, such as tolerance checking of speaker drivers

PULSE RECIEVER TEST APPLICATION BZ-5602

This software evaluates receivers using an artificial ear or Head and Torso Simulator (HATS), together with a microphone and LAN-XI data acquisition and analysis module. It automates measurements of frequency response, harmonic distortion and calculation of Thiele/Small parameters using the simple impedance method.

PULSE LOUDSPEAKER TEST APPLICATION BZ-5603

This software evaluates loudspeakers using a microphone and a precision power amplifier connected to a LAN-XI data acquisition and analysis module. It can also use an electronic turntable to rotate the device under test (DUT) for directivity measurements. It automates measurements of frequency response, harmonic distortion, directional response and calculation of Thiele/Small parameters using the simple impedance method, added volume method, added mass method, or laser method.

PULSE MICROPHONE TEST APPLICATION BZ-5743

This software evaluates microphones using a mouth simulator, a microphone, and a precision power amplifier connected to a LAN-XI data acquisition and analysis module. It can also use an electronic turntable to rotate the device under test for directivity measurements. This application automates measurements of frequency response, harmonic distortion and directional response.

PULSE HEADSET TEST APPLICATION BZ-5744

This software evaluates headsets using HATS, a microphone, and a precision power amplifier connected to a LAN-XI data acquisition and analysis module. This application automates measurements of frequency response and harmonic distortion.

REQUIREMENTS

All four individual automated test procedures require these software products:

  • PULSE Basic Electroacoustics Type 7797
  • PULSE Sequencer BZ-5600
  • PULSE Data Manager for Electroacoustic Applications
    BZ-5601

ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES

For further testing capabilities, you can add these software types:

  • PULSE Directivity and Polar Plot BZ-5551
  • PULSE Thiele Small Parameters Calculations BZ-5604

Alternatively, our software package PULSE Electroacoustics Type 7907-S1 gives you a complete toolbox for testing. As standard, it includes all of the electroacoustic testing software seen here. See the product data sheet for more information.
