Introduction to Structural Dynamics Measurement and Analysis

To promote better understanding of the dynamic behaviour of structures, this webinar will provide an overview of structural dynamics measurement and analysis techniques and applications. The topics will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner with focus on examples and the practical aspects.

The fundamentals described in this introductory webinar will be followed up by a series of more in-depth webinars on Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS) analysis, Classical Modal Analysis – also known as Experimental Modal Analysis – and Operational Modal Analysis (OMA).

The webinar will:

• Introduce mechanical systems, the SDOF model and the equation of motion
• Describe what structural dynamics measurement and analysis is, why it is important, when it is normally done and how it is typically done
