Although vehicle pass-by noise is normally associated with an outdoor test on a test track, much of the design and development work can be done more efficiently indoors on a chassis dyno in a hemi-anechoic room. As the vehicle is stationary, it is easy to add instrumentation to support root cause testing and Source Path Contribution (SPC) analysis.
